Had my own mini-invasion of the french painted lady butterflies yesterday morning- had more than a dozen fluttering around the front garden feeding on the flowers. Natural light/fill flash shots.

I normally just see half a dozen of these during the summer not 20 at once, apparently thousands have been crossing the channel from france into Southern England- very odd.

Cuong - saw someone mentioning it was due to a wet winter over the Atlas mountains in North Africa which suits these- apparently there are lots moving all over Europe.
