"The firmware isn't currently available, with Canon USA expecting delivery in "early June 2009",
while Canon Europe is more precisely promising the firmware will be available on June 2nd, 2009.
Look for more details on our news page, just as soon as they're available."

Nam et ipsa scientia potestas est.
This is amazingly good news for the still/video "fusion" community of 5D MKII shooters.
Thanks for sharing. clap

And, it seems to work very nicely. You can indeed set: Aperture, Shutter Speed & ISO.

Now all we need are adapters to allow the use of proper cinema lenses with rack focus stops, etc.
I wonder what it would take to get ARRI-Zeiss mounted?

It does look like both RedRock and CAVISION are working on some plates and adapters to allow follow focus mechanisms to be used with cine lenses (and standard Canon SLR lenses) and the 5D MKII. clap
I should have known that Vincent would be using it already:

I know there are a lot 5D2 shooters here...and I couldn't find any threads concerning the recent update...so here's a link if you haven't already updated the firmware on your 5D2. This from a June 3 article from Pop Photo.com linked to this canon website. I didn't really know where to best put it, but thought it would be worth viewing here.
