First macro attempt with the new 450D was this flying thingy which found its way into the window over the top of the front door.

So I grabbed a leafy stem from the garden plant outside (it is raining and quite windy today, so no outdoor shots to practice) and stood it in a little bottle after encouraging the said fly to step onto the greenery.

So shot with the use of flash as it is dull and gloomy, I got a few of the fly including this one of it driking from a droplet of rain water.

There'll be better to come as time and subjects allow, so be ready
