Free Night Light

On my way to the video store, I stopped to take some lightning shots. Those electric tentacles were pretty close :huh
I was shooting full-frame and a wide angle lens. It may be hard to tell, but I could throw a rock to the light pole nearest me. (left of center)

    rwells, I love photograph.

    I don't like the black & white conversion though. but your photographs shows us what mother nature can do to us. :)

    "Electric tentacles" Ain't that the truth. :D Chancy business doing lightning
    shots. Though it is a rush getting in just the right position and close
    as possible. mwink.gif

    I didn't really plan on being that close. eek7.gif

    The lighting had been in the distant backgroud area.
    The tentacles were a call to get that CF tripod & myself back in the car rolleyes1.gif

    That looks rather savage, love the way the lightning is striking at the base of the cloud formation.

    Mother Nature at work.... scary and exciting at the same time.
