Haven't Posted in a While: most recent e-session & wedding (warning- long!)
Seems I go quite a while between posts, but I do check this several times a week & lurk! Anyways, here's my most recent e-session. I get to do this couple's wedding in May of 2010, but they are going to design their own invitations & wanted plenty of time to work on them (he's a graphic artist). They are also good friends of mine which ended up being a little more awkward than I expected, but we worked through it!
#1- I started them out talking to each other since they were most comfortable that way. (And yes, she's laughing in 90% of the pics!)
#2 I've been wanting to use this "&" I found and these were the perfect playful couple to try it out on!
#3 This is one of my favs. He'd picked her the dandelion earlier & it's just a perfect expression of the 2 of them. He makes her laugh all the time!
Now, this was my latest wedding. It was...interesting. You heard the term redneck? Well, it certainly fit the people at the wedding- except for the bride & groom!! It was crazy. I'm hoping for the couple's sake that I was able to get some beautiful pictures, but wow- I was just glad of a second shooter just so I'd have a witness to the behavior of the guests! (bad-mouthing the bride, talking across the church during the ceremony, etc)
#1- Just after the ceremony- this was almost right outside the front of the tiny church!
#2 At a nearby park in the middle of no where
#3- Their rings
Oh & I'd almost forgotten about this wedding. It was actually more beautiful than pictures can show because of the couple. They had no money & so the church decided to give them the wedding as a gift. Paid for everything. It was very simple, but absolutely wonderful because you could tell they loved each other. I photographed it for free because I thought it was so sweet. The couple was just so grateful. It was very short (literally- beginning of ceremony to end of reception= 30 minutes), but helped me to remember why I do this in the first place!
