A small wedding at the Arboretum
This was a fun wedding, and very unique. Tanya and Patrick are a great couple, and we were happy to have met them. On the Friday before the wedding, they had a 'Send-Off Party'. The wedding was on Sunday at the Washington Park Arboretum in Seattle, and the weather cooperated. It was raining heavy the night before.
1. The couple walking along the path at the beginning of the send-off party.
2. Isn't she adorable...
3. The bride and groom and all the guests formed a circle, for a moment of silence, then for each guest to read something meaningful to them.
4. Another view of the circle. Each person that wanted to, took turns reading something personal.
5. A string was tied around each persons wrist. Once the string was around the complete circle, it was cut so each person could wear their piece of the string until the wedding took place on Sunday.
6. After the string was cut...
7. The wedding day. The couple before the start of the ceremony.
8. The couple watched while the guests placed a personal item on the altar before the ceremony.
9. A few words were spoken, and the couple and guests formed a circle inside the gazebo for a moment of silence.
10. Next, all guests were invited to spend 10 minutes taking a walk for a private moment. This is the groom with his parents.
11. The bride and her friend, who also performed the ceremony.
12. The bride having a private moment during her walk.
13. The bride after lighting her candle, preparing to enter the gazebo for the ceremony.
14. The bride entering the gazebo...
15. The groom entering the gazebo from the other side...
16. The couple placing their candles on the altar.
17. A Kiss during the ceremony.
18. The couple holding hands.
19. Reading of the vows.
20. The ring with a kiss...
21. The happy bride!
22. The happy couple...
23. A moment of reflection after the ceremony.
24. A sun bow appeared in the sky right after the ceremony. I think it's a good sign!
C&C welcome! Thanks for looking.
