MyCanvas Quality Control

Back in April I had ordered a photo book from my Canvas for my wife as a Mothers Day gift. It printed and shipped in three days. I had it sent to NY where my wife and son would be spending Mothers Day with her family. Upon her return from NY she had pointed out that one of pages had the following text printed, "Double-click to enter text". Apparently the template I used for that page had a box where you could add text. I contacted MyCanvas, and they were happy to print another book and expedite shipping, as this was an issue on their end.

After a week and a half had passed without the replacement book, I contacted MyCanvas again considering the original order printed, shipped and arrived in about a week. I was told that it takes about five to seven days for the printer to produce the book. :scratch This was a little confusing as I thought MyCanvas is the printer. Regardless, I sent a private message to Jen the MyCanvas rep who frequents the DGRIN forums. She apologized and made certain the order got shipped that day...unfortunately she caught the same mistake, but only after it had shipped. She sent me another note saying it would be re-printed and expedited a third time.

I received the third copy this morning and although the text issue has been resolved, the inside of the book has some sort of stain, I think it must be glue.

Although MyCanvas reprinted the book three times, I have to say that it would be very hard for me to offer my clients products from a company that does not seem to have a firm grasp on quality control. Had this order been for a client it could have turned out disastrous. I hope MyCanvas works out the issues with quality control, because I would really like to be a one stop shop for my clients via SmugMug vendors.
