Captured this pair of Wigeons last weekend in a salt water lagoon. Took these between 8:30 and 9:00 PM at ISO800 and no flash (though it would have helped).

    Never heard of them so I had to look it up in my trusty bird book. Little thieves eh? :D Interesting story.

    Thanks for commenting, Bud. They're not very rare or exotic but they are pretty little ducks. It's also interesting the way their wings are folded with primaries kind of fanned out. Plus at least these two were fairly approachable to photograph relative to most ducks encoutered in remote locations.

    Thanks, Dan. Yes this was a very accomadating pair of ducks. Swam along together for several yards to allow me several shots at that third image :D
