Looks promising for quick in-and-out operation

Especially considering the theft trend :-)
Anybody used it? If yes - please share...

Where are the suspenders? With my belly and lack of hips, the camera — and my pants — would hit the ground ... fast and HARD!rolleyes1.gif

Here's another one I could not possibly use: http://www.spiderholster.com/

Looks cute, too bad it's not available and no price info...
What I like (in theory) about HoldSLR is the holster, which seems to be also weather proof to some degree. Also it looks fairly versatile and can be hooked to belt or backpack's chest strap...
Come think of it, HoldSLR can be a lovely DIY project:-)

Sounds like the boot would also make for a real nice water bottle type of thing.

Think about it, a water proof (minimum resistant) tube open at top.... Not sounding like I am a big fan of that.

Point is without the camera in it, it sounds like a shallow bucket waiting to collect moisture. Rain specifically.
With the camera in it sounds like a deep bucket waiting to collect water, unless the camera boot is also used.

I could, and hopefully am, very wrong in this guess though.

Just re-read my first post and can see how it could easily be mis read into thinking it would be great to hold water bottles :)

I see.. Well, you see, I'm in SoCal... mwink.gif
Like the song goes, ".. they say it never rains in LA county" rolleyes1.gif I also plan to use it inside often, so moisture collection is not that big of an issue for me.
I understand your concern though. A different bottom material or a few drainage holes and a water proof top (sold by the same company for $10 extra) should do the trick...

    Nikolai,

I just picked up one of these last week: http://www.blackrapid.com/rs4.php

Somehow, I can picture you wearing one of these: http://www.blackrapid.com/double-strap.php biggrinbounce2.gif

Anyway, the RS4 is the best strap I've ever had. I can flip my 40D around to the small of my back and have both hands free to do whatever.

Yeah, I've seen those a while ago. And when I do have a backpack on me it's not an issue at all, I clip my bodies onto my shoulder straps all the time.
I still like that holster idea though.. :-)

I have a couple of the single Black Rapid straps and the coupler. Used the combination with two cameras to shoot my last wedding. Worked quite well.
