Finally some photos of someone other than my little girl!

Meet my sister Rachel, she just turned 14. I'm so jealous of her, she is absolutely gorgeous!

Anyway this is my first "real" attempt at a shoot, she is a little uncomfortable doing this kind of thing. She has braces so she doesn't like to smile real big. Had a hard time posing as she didn't wan't to be natural.

Let me know what you think! Thanks!

I think I like the last one the most. #3 & 4 feel like I'm looking up her nose, though. Very pretty young lady - keep shooting if she'll let you.

    thank you for the comments.

I like the last one the most too. Didn't realize the up the nose thing, thanks for pointing that out. This was our first time but won't be our last. Will definately watch for that next time. That is exactly the type of advice i'm looking for, thanks!

I think #3 in your first post is the best photo. But I like close up natural portrait shots. all of them are print worthy in my book.

Thank you James. Very nerve-wrecking to post work on here and wait for critique, good or bad..especially for a first time doing a real shoot. I really appreciate your comments, makes me feel like i'm on the right track here!

I think you did very well for your so called "first time". You sister is very pretty and photogenic. I like the first set best and then the last pose in the second set best. Those eyes in the third pose of the first set will knock your socks off. Great job of capturing their beauty.

In the second set, the second picture, the dress seems a little hot. Straps showing would be something to watch out for in the future was well.

    Overall, nicely done!

Thank you very much! It's so hard to watch all the little details and I didn't even notice the strap. I'm not a huge fan of the second picture in the second set but I liked the smile because it was a semi-natural one (with a little smirk) that she gave me right after I told her to quit giving me fake ones. :)

She is very pretty. its a challenge for me to get my clients to smile sometimes but I always act like a fool to get them to relax. :) Good work!!
