Hi there!
I recently googled my website using a search for 'julie megnia photography' - my website comes up :clap but with the title Smugmug photo sharing...etc. :cry This is not very clear for visitors
http://www.google.com/search?q=julie+megnia+photography&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a
I gather from reading threads that this might be standard for power users.
However when I google just my first and last name the first result is titled just right and this is a very clear link for visitors.

Can anyone enlighten me further on this issue!
Last week I changed my title and bio text and added keywords to the galleries but it doesn't seem like google has picked it up yet or I haven't done it correctly.
I was delighted to be able to find my website on the first page- but unfortunately I also saw all the links to my questions pertaining to website set-up on digital grin. Is there anyway to block this kind of link to these pages?
Another issue I have is that a page which I want hidden is searchable.
I can't find a way in to block this

Thanks for helping!

I'm sorry to say that you cannot change the title that appears in Google at this time. There's more info here: http://wiki.smugmug.net/display/SmugMug/Maximize+Search+Engine+Findability
Your Other Category is showing up in Google if you had public galleries in it at one point. When I do a search that brings up your Other Category and I click on the link it just goes to this: http://www.smugmug.com/photos/553835934_L959A-X3.jpg since all your galleries in Other are Unlisted.

Thanks Denise
I believe I did do this. Today I created a google profile and it seems like the site was indexed by google again as it is displaying just the way I want it.
Hi Nick,
Thanks for your reply.
I was trying to remove this Other category but I don't know how. Any recommendations?
