I knew my mockingbirds had a nest somewhere in the yard. One of the babies showed up outside my bedroom windows today. I couldn't get a shot through there, so I sat in the backyard for awhile. I couldn't get a clear shot from there, so I circled the house and came at it from the side. The Mom and Dad kept an eye on me, but never dove at me. I think they have been around me enough, they knew I wasn't a threat. Isn't it a cute little bare butt thing!

Nice work in some difficult lighting.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Thanks for the comment Harry.
It was hard to even get a half way clear shot. He was in the wilder part of the yard and about 10 feet up a tree.. I was also watching for his mom and dad. I haven't had time to play with the photo any. I am going to see what I can do about that sky behind him, try to tone it down some.

Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap but memories are priceless.

Good capture, I agree! Where's his tail? Look at the claws on him!

Appreciate what we have, instead of worrying about what we haven't. Enjoy what is, before it isn't.

Funny part is, I was so busy just trying to focus and not get attacked that I didn't see the bare butt until I downloaded them. I saw another today at a dentists office in Allen, but he was just too hidden in a Nadina bush.

He was just a baby and didn't have a tail yet (I assume). I saw him again yesterday and his tail is coming in some... he is also getting smarter about getting away from me. I couldn't get anywhere close enough for a picture.
