Image vs. Video Keys

winstonwinston Registered Users Posts: 19 Big grins
Hi,

I've noticed when looking at video urls that the key is always uppercase, while the key in image urls is always mixed upper/lower case (both have digits too).

Is that coincidence or reliable behavior?

In other words if I tested the "key" portion of the URL and it was all upper case would I know that "had to be" a video, and if it was not all upper case then that "has to be" an image?

An odd question perhaps, but helpful for the app I'm integrating with.

Thanks,

Peter

No, what you are seeing is a coincidence.

Here's an example of a video with lower case chars in the key

fwiw, with the next release of the api...I'll have methods that allow you to retrieve only video or images or both...and be able to distinguish determine them if both are returned.

    Hey David,

By 'the next release', do you mean 1.2.3?

    Thanks!
