Watermarks vs Disabling SaveAs

I have uploaded some of my "precious" images and turned on all the features to protect the images.
When I look at the images, the first thing I see is - "proof"...it's kind of blocking some of the image and degrading to some extent the first impression.
It might turn away potential buyers.

If I disable features like "SaveAs" and Viewing the original and Large files, will it be enough to protect the images from stealing ?

Do I need Watermarking as well ? :scratch

Thanks!

Define "stealing". If you're just worried about people making high quality prints on their own, then turning off the original and large sizes and disabling save as might be okay. But if you're worried about people having the image at all and using it on the web, or making small prints (or even large ones that they deem acceptable but you would not) then you really need the watermark. The bottom line seems to be that unless you essentially destroy the photo with a watermark, people will find ways to use your images however they see fit, whether it's legal/ethical/moral or not.

    Thank you flyingpylon,

So, I guess displaying clear images, without watermarking, is better for your image and improves the marketability of the image ?

Is it what most of smugmug Pro acc. users do ?
    Am I right ?

    Thanks!:):
