categories with "&" sign in names

How come I can no longer create categories with an "&" in it?
I have other categories that I made in the past with the "&".
Can this be put back in? Thanks.

    Can't be done any more, I'm sorry - there are other ramifications from this. I wish I had a better answer for you :(

    Use 'and'

    OK ... I understand ... however, can this feature be put on the back burner and bought back later ... like maybe when Smugmug supports unicode? I am mainly interested in Chinese characters in the gallery and category names. That would be appreciated. Thanks.

    I could, Malte, if I fully knew and understood. I just know that it busts some things. I don't want to bother the sorcerer in charge of this now because he's working on some stuff that 's really been clamored for, much more than a &
