taboo rose and friend.

this rose is supposed to be as close to black as you can get with out dying the rose. the only problem is I cant seem to get the color to show up as it looks in real life.. its showing up too red. i took about 45 shots using different settings and light.. direct sun, shade, and dusk.

any ideas what i can do..

the edge petals of this not close up are what the whole rose looks like.. id like to take a picture of it to show you what it looks like...

Think reds do tend to oversaturate on digital sensors- you could just try de-saturating the red channel in PS and see how it looks.
