A local Waterfall (high falls, dupont state forest) was massivly over flowing from heavy rains the last few days. I figured it'd be a great shoot yesterday morning, but the light sucked, so I tried some really different stuff. (alot of inspired by mitchell's set that he shot in ga)

And, I almost stepped on this little guy. Can anyone (i can't) identify it? Maybe 16'' long or so. He brushed up against my leg in the feeder stream I was standing in (ok, I'm an idiot). Quite a startle. :uhoh

    hi rtr
That looks like a northern water snake - not poisonous, but can inflict a nasty bite. It's a very common snake around here.

Nice shots in a very difficult lighting situation, lots 'o water with the sun out. I need to get back over to DuPont for better pictures, but good shooting days don't seem to correspond with my days off. How many falls have you been to in the area??
