Hello dgrinners :)
I am going to shoot my first wedding in August and would like to at least shadow someone, at best second shoot with someone in my area before shooting alone. Is anyone in this area interested in taking a newbie under thier wing? I live in south central PA, but am willing to travel within a reasonable distance. I would say I have an eye and am developing skill, trying to get my feet wet and experience "a day in the life". These are a few shots that will help you to see my progress over the last few years, I am still a newbie, though. :) Lisa

I'm too far for you, but I strongly recommend that you shadow at least two weddings. No two weddings are the same and if you just do one you may not realize how different they can be.

And this is not meant to say anything about your photography skills. Weddings (as a wedding photographer) are very different from other types of shooting.

Start on Craigslist. I see people on there looking for second shooters all the time. Call some local studios and ask if they have a need for second shooters. etc

Totally take him up on this when he has his next wedding if he'll let you. Ted does great work :)

I'm too far for you, otherwise I'd invite you to tag along with me too.
