Yosemite: "Sunset" at Tuolumne Meadows

It was looking to be a bust for sunset as the clouds were obscuring the sun. All of a sudden the tree tops and rocks started to glow. Trying to get the best composition, I went from 17-40 to 70-200 and back to 17-40. I may have missed the "peak" lighting because I was switching lenses, but I'm pretty happy with the results...

Sweet shots, Mike! Looking back at your previous post and then at this one, I get the feeling I was there with you, getting excited about the changing light quality. Have you tried a pano crop on the first one? It may or may not improve the composition. To me, there is just a bit too much sky. The amount of water is great because of the interesting blades of grass in the FG.

I thought about cropping this when I was processing it, but I decided to leave it alone. Here's the pano version and I do like it better, so I'm going to add this on my gallery.
