Sorting Galleries, Time Taken???

Sorry, the title should have read Sorting Photos, Time Taken.

I used two cameras at a wedding last week, thought it would be easy to arrange photos using Time Taken option.

This works, except it seems to be treating each camera separately, i.e. first all the images from one camera appear, arranged in order acc. to time taken, then the images from the second camera appear, arranged acc. to time taken.

Shouldn't Time Taken mean exactly that?

Am I doing something wrong?

This is most concerting, to have to move a ton of photos by hand - please help.

Thank you!

What happens if you sort by time taken in Windows? It's possible that you set the date incorrectly in one of the cameras...

I'm now looking at the time taken in the exif, seems I may have one camera set on a.m. (1:31:55), the other on p.m. (13:43:34)!!

The cameras in question are not here with me presently, but I will be where they are later today and I will correct the time.

I seem to recall an option, someplace, of syncing the time for more than one camera?

So, the answer is, with two or more cameras, one should be able to sort galleries properly with Time Taken option?

This is, indeed, good news! I can deal with operator error for this small gallery (slightly less than 400 images), learn from it, be grateful it wasn't a gallery of 1,000, and move on.

    Thank you!

I guess it all boils down to making sure the clocks in the cameras are synchronized prior to shooting.

This was my first time using two bodies in a while, so I'm a little out of the loop.

    Thanks for your help. :D

There's probably a tool on the internet, to allow you to bulk-adjust the times in the photos from one of your cameras by 12 hours... (I know that Exifer will allow you to do it one-by-one...)

I think Exifer will let you bulk adjust too.
