My daughter's team, she's one of the new players. First tournament did not go so well for them, but I got a few ok shots:

2) pitchers tend to get more pics taken when you're getting blown out!

3). And she plays infield too...

    Nice job Tim thumb.gif

A lot of protective gear for softball. The plastic mask reminds me of a movie with Anthony Hopkins headscratch.gif ... but her beautiful eyes make everything OK.

I already know what "BOB" is, but what is "ADL" ?

thx Peter, sorry... ADL is Active D-Lighting a feature in the Nikon D700 that helps in WIDE dynamic range situations...

Another good set. I watched a bit of the College World Series of womens softball and I too noticed that most of them don't swing normal anymore. They do some sort of little chip shot type swing at the ball. I guess they figure the less time swinging the bat, the more their odds are of making contact.

Nice series, Tim. The "slappers" are fun to watch. You never know what they have in mind - bunt, slap a high chopper, slap it over the infielders - lots of options.
