Clouds Over Mount Gibbs in B/W

Nice shot, Mike. I'm wondering...did you decided on b&w because the light was a little flat? Your composition, as usual, is flawless.

I've shot this a few different times, and I'm still not "happy" with the results.

Because of the impending storm, I thought the B/W would look better. I did process the color version, but never posted it here.

I re-processed the image for B/W, added a bit more contrast in the clouds and included the crop. Here's the color version...

Both versions are very pleasing, Mike. I think I prefer the color, but only just by a little bit. The soft light on the evergreens is beautifully rendered in the color and somewhat lost on the b&w version.

Thanks Mahesh, I'm warming up to the color version too.
