I seem to be one of the few who doesnt want to focus on bugs.. although browns and blacks do seem to be easier to capture correctly than reds.

You are right re the flower colours- reds and yellows are both very hard to shoot.
I actually find flower shots much harder than bugs simply because they are very difficult to make unique or interesting. The lighting and composition have to be just right.

First class shots. you could of course use a mask on the first and the third to bring out the colour but you have done well.
