API method to search private galleries

Hello all! I have been looking around for a way to access my private galleries through the api other than by album and have had trouble finding a solution. I'm one of those rare souls who is a nut for privacy and have my entire smugmug site locked down. That means feeds don't work for me(unless I'm logged in) to search by keyword, etc. I've seen some comments about this but no solutions. I basically want some functionality similar to the SmugMugViewer, but want to be able to search pictures outside of just getting an album. Does anyone have any suggestions or methods to do this through the api or other means? Thanks!
