Death Valley(DV)

If you need a reference for scale the tiny bushes and large mountains should work fine. Shooting in the dust and sand can be a pain but I find it quite excitingicon_eek.gif . The tripod was left in the car because there was plenty of light still out for some hand held shooting.

Yeowzers! That's a mighty big dust cloud.

I like the color in the sky and the cloud. You might Post Process a bit to bring that out a bit more.
DV is a land of extremes and is certainly one of them.

Great shot, Steve! I love Death Valley, and I've never seen a dust storm there before. thumb.gif
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap but memories are priceless.

Very nice. Being caught in one of those is a trip.
    Anybody can do it.

Death Valley! Not a whole lot of storms there. Except for this kind. Nice shot.
