Persistence and Luck...(lots of pics)

All photogs know that you have to put in the time to get some good shots. But a few of the hawk pics were just sheer luck - where i was in my car about to leave for the day and a couple of hawks flew just about to within the close focusing range of my 400mm f/5.6. And yes, hawks shake off bathwater just like your everyday average mutt....Of course, as a result I was slightly delayed getting back home, and my ears are still burning.....
