Problem with Flex TT5 on a a Lastolite Ezybox

Has anybody attempted to mount their Flex TT5 into the shoe of a Lastolite Ezybox and then mounting their flash onto the TT5 ? I am wondering if there is enough adjustments to the bracket on the Ezybox to allow this :scratch . I do know there is not enough adjustment to allow the Flex TT5 to slide onto the shoe with the Flex TT5 facing forward. I contacted Lastolite by email and they are extremely helpful but they have not been able to receive a Flex TT5 in the UK for testing. Lastolite suggested rotating the shoe on the Ezybox sideways rather than forwards and then sliding the Flex TT5 onto the bracket sideways. Once the flash is mounted onto the Flex TT5 the head of the flash could be rotated to the side to face into the Ezybox. I am wondering if the flash will be two high to be centered into the Ezybox.

If I end up purchasing one of these boxes does anybody have any advice as to if I should be going for the 15 inch or the 22 inch? Using a 580 ex ll.
This will be my first light box and I would appreciate your input before the purchase :bow . Thanks

Not sure if you saw this or not, but there seem to be a good deal of issues with flex TT5s in or out of modifiers.

    thanks for the link
Thanks for the link. I was alread aware of the issues but watched the link anyway. After watching the link I went outside and did my on own testing. I got similar results as the link. I also was able to find a lastolite ezybox in stock and was able to test out my question as to if a ezybox will allow a tt5 and a flash on it. What I found was I had to rotate the shoe on the ezybox sideways and mount the tt5 onto the ezybox sideways and then slide the 580 onto the tt5 and then rotate the head of the flash sideways into the ezybox. Lastolite made this suggestion but was unable to tell me if this would work for sure because they had not been able to get a tt5 sent to them.

Just realize that when you rotate or use the head in a bounce configuration, (any head position other than pointing straight ahead), this will cause the 580EXII to use ETTL instead of ETTL II.

    Thanks
Thanks for the tip on rotating the head. I ordered the new Lastolite 18 inch box with the double difussion. I hope I can make it work.
