    Dani,

First of all -- CONGRATS on acquiring your Digital Rebel!! Awesome!

Re the CF cards -- it looks like I have 3 BRAND NEW ones and one slightly used Sandisk Ultra II -- all would work great in the DRebel ...

    • BRAND NEW Kingston Elite Pro 1GB CF card (see this Dgrin thread_), a 53x write speed card; asking $73.50
    • BRAND NEW Kingston Elite Pro 256MB CF card with 53x write speed; asking $25
    • a SanDisk Ultra II 256MB CF card, used probably 3 dozen times, in mint condition (I can even provide it in its original packaging!); asking $21 (cost me about $50 when I bought it)
    • BRAND NEW PQI 128MB HiSpeed CF card with 24x write speed; asking $15
A quick word about write speed: Unless you shoot in continuous-shot mode (multiple frames per second) for more than 4 shots (the size of the Digital Rebel's internal write buffer), then you likely won't notice any difference in write speed above about 8x. Well, if you have a habit of watching the little red LED "CF write" light on the back, you may notice that will stay lit a bit longer with slower cards, but you won't wear out the LED ;-). I've mostly used 8x Viking CF cards in my 10D and now 20D; CF card writes have never caused any pause in my shooting (in fairness, their write buffers are approx twice as large as the DRebel's). So 40x, 50x, etc are all nice numbers, but I don't think anyone will notice much difference unless they're shooting several shots per second.
    • The new CF cards are brand new in package, never opened, with UPC label gently removed
    • No sales tax
    • Will ship free to anywhere in U.S. (1st Class Mail, 2-5 days)
    • Check or PayPal OK
    • Feel free to check my feedback in the DGrin Feedback Thread
Contact me via DGrin Private Message, or better yet, via email.
