Hi everyone, this is my first post on dgrin ... glad to be part of a photography oriented forum rather than just gear oriented. Like many of you here, I used to hang out on dpreview's Sony Talk Forum and then moved on to Canon forum after buying the 20D. I live in northern california, enjoy landscape and candid photography and would like to learn more. Here are a couple of landscape shots from my last weekend's Lake Tahoe trip.

I like the first one with the trees. You might try cropping out the ground, just an idea.

    Welcome Khalid!
Glad to see another fine STD person here:-)

I used to live pretty close to Lake Tahoe (in Folsom) and really enjoyed going there. Your shots bring good memories, thx!

Hey espy, I did take some of the island in the middle but haven't processed them yet. Plus that seems like the most common shot so wanted to post something a bit different. Thanks for your comment.
