Here's an easy one: get your widest and your longest lenses (I would take my 10-22 at 10 and 100-400 at 400 + x1.4 extender) and then take a shot at the same subject in a way that the said subject fills about same part of the frame in both cases. Please specify focal length (or more:-) and distance from the subject for each shot.
Let's go long (and wide:-)!

Question. Should this be on the same camera? I'm assuming the answer is yes. I have a lens adapter that allows me to go to .8 of 32mm on one of my cameras, and I have 432mm on another camera.

Hmmm...I have three different types of cameras so I'll do it on each. When I get a chance, that is. There's already over a thousand pictures in the que to review. :cry

    Exposure Time:
    0.01s (1/100)
    Aperture:
    f/5.0
    ISO:

    Focal Length:

LONG - taken from about 20ft
    Date Taken:2009-11-01 16:39:33
    Camera:
    NIKON CORPORATION NIKON D90
    Exposure Time:
    0.0166s (1/60)
    Aperture:f/5.6
    ISO:3200
    Focal Length:300mm (450mm in 35mm)

This image was rotated slightly which resulted in a cropped original.

I thought the mirror behind the subject would offer some more interesting details about the differences between the wide and long shots.

Also, I did this assignment since it was near the top of the forum vs. going to #1 or the last one "dashboard"

    Thanks

Figured I was changing lenses to get the set up shots anyways for the bottle challenge might as well stick one here as well.

    Set up

    Wide, 17mm on 50D.

    Long, 200mm on 50D.

Best I could do in the limited space with my son wanting his play room back. Will try to get another one up next week without the background issues.
