This was my first Engagement session after moving to DC (and off of Maternity leave). I had a real hard time with this couple. They just didn't seem to "get" what i was saying. They also wanted to do more posed shots then I usually do, but the client always comes first!! CC please! :D

These are lovely! The only one that doesn't work for me is #8 - it took me several seconds to figure out who the arms and legs belonged to. I think it's because her shoulder blends into his shirt and looks like him - especially with the shallow dof and her head turned away I got confused (then again, maybe that's just because I haven't had my coffee yet!! rolleyes1.gif)

    I really REALLY love #2 - beautiful!

Hey now, these are really nice. 2 is cool but I wonder if you got some through the fountain of him facing the camera... not that I don't get what you did, but that would have been nice. 8 would have been better with a long lens to compress the distance outside the focus range or at least a normal lens. I'll agree that it is a little hard to follow what is going on with that one because of the way the wide angle distorts the perspective.

    nice series though!!!

Thanks Matt and Divamum... i agree, now that i am looking at #8 it is hard to figure out ne_nau.gif Funny how they mentioned that they liked that one. HA!

I am also going to look back and see if i have any more keepers from the fountain area.

Also, thanks Camera Photog for looking and commenting. :D

People today LOVE unique (well, young/young-minded people anyways) and that is why they spend the money on a progressive photographer like yourself. There is no reason they wouldn't like that shot! We are talking about ways to make things even better!!!

Oh... and I'm going to steal that, and shoot it with my 135 f2! mwink.gif

Thanks! I am really trying to learn to "process". Keeping it simple, yet making it better is sometimes a tug of war. A friend of mine gave me the advice once to put a sticky on my monitor saying... NICOLE STOP WITH THE PHOTOSHOP (thanks Ted!)!

I like all of them...I'm sure your clients will too. If I'd shot them, I'd be very happy if I'd shot them...good work.

    Thanks for sharing.
