Red Winged Blackbird vs White Tailed Kite

Anyone who has Red Winged Blackbirds during the nesting season knows, these little birds are quite aggressive. They eagerly take on Egrets, Hawks, Vultures and people. This morning while wasting some time at my favorite pond, a White Tailed Kite came way too close to the blackbirds.

    RWBB, Scissor Tailed Flycatchers, finches...they all go after the hawks even the local cooper's hawk that is looking to take one of them for dinner. Nice sequence.

    They are aggressive. Just saw one chasing a crow yesterday. Funny stuff.
