This is the hoverfly often found near to water - in this instance, this morning this one was regularly taking off and landing on the small concrete flagstones which are the border to my small garden pond. The orange spots on the flag are some form of algae I guess.

I framed this one to show the water and airation plants of the pond, though of course the DoF has thrown them into relief, but I left it in to set a scenario that in context of this description, tells of it's location.

C&C as always encouraged.
