Reversing is a cheap way to hop into some simple macro. I reverse my 28-105 occasionally.

Where did you take this photo?

Not bad- suffering slightly from the shallow DOF and I think some motion blur.

In my kitchen, actually. I used a halogen spot to light it since the first attempts were very dark.

(cheap - yes - less than $75 for the manual 50mm lens and rings)

Yes and Definetly! Does the aperture on the reversed lens have any effect on DOF?

    Thanks!

I don't think it affects DOF but you will get vignetting if you close it much. Normally used wide open and focused on infinity.

Thanks - I'm getting some vignetting just because the size difference between the Zoom Lens (67mm) and the Reversed Lens (52mm).
