Hello to everyone. It will take me a while to figure out this Artist-in-Residence role, and I hope you'll bear with me while I do. Like you, I realize how easy it is to misinterpret comments made in emails - emoticons don't begin to make up for our inability to see body language and facial expressions, and hear people's tone of voice.
I am the first to admit, I can be brusque in my critiques. As Rutt - who took my class at the Harvard Extension School knows - I can be 'mean.' I will try to be a kinder, gentler B. D. here. But on the other hand, if I pull punches, I'm really not providing any help.
In the near future, I'm going to offer up the first of several photo challenges/exercises, and I hope that we all find them worthwhile. In the meantime, I have offered some extensive comments on the post immediately below - "City Shots - People." I hope you find them helpful.
Feel free to email me directly any time at bd@bdcolenphoto.com
Best to all
