D90 + Sb 900 settings
Just received my SB900; (replaced the Sb600)
Setting the Camera (Nikon D90) on aperture priority, the exposure Time stays on 1/60. Even when i change the aperture. The Sb900 is set on "TTL" or "TTL-BL".
That was the same whit the Sb600. Is that normal ?

Does it still do this in bright light, like outdoors in the sun? Or if you increase the ISO to say, 6400? If I remember correctly there's a setting in the menus that allows you to specify a minimum shutter speed when using flash. If that's set to 1/60, and you're indoors with low ambient light, then the shutter speed will not go lower than that and instead the flash will try to compensate by increasing its output if necessary. If this is the problem then in bright light or with a crazy high ISO setting you should see the shutter speed go higher, up to 200 if Auto FP is turned off in the camera menus, or even higher yet if it's turned on.
If you want to use slower shutter speeds indoors to get more ambient light into your exposure then adjust the minimum sync speed in the menu. I think you can turn it off as well if you prefer.

Thanks, you have the right thing here. 100%.
It go's up outdoor. At ISO 2000 it moves to 1/125.
So there is nothing wrong.
thanks.
