Like my woolly pullover?

Sorry for such a terrible title, but as I took these photos of the weevil that was clambering across the leaves of one of my Lily of the Valley plants, I say what an amazing bodyshell (carapace? chetin?) it had and to me looks like it could have been made my a pair of knitting needles - hence the wooly pullover bit, lol...

Anyway, the weevil is a particularly harmful pest in the garden, and this one is going to have to be deposited outside of mine somewhere (nasty neighbour perhaps... - dare I?)

Here it is then, looking out over the tip of the leaf.

Ringflash used.

C&C as always appreciated.

Lovely captures Paul - esp like #1.
Weevils often have beautiful patterns and textures on them pity they are often serious pests.

The last one I found was caked in soil, so nice to see a clean one!

    Ta Brian.

    Cheers Bob.

I have a new ringflash, just the budget Marumi, but seems to be OK. :)
