Hello all,

Tried a thread search here. Maybe I missed something as I've been doing lens research all day.

Is there a way to correct for light falloff in PP? I know that I could always just crop the edges off. Rather than that, is there a way to just brighten the corners??? I am new to PP, so please explain in layman's terms.

Or do I need to go take a loan out for 2k to just get a lens that won't do this at the wide range??? :confused

Yes, light fall-off can be fixed in PP. What PP software do you have and use? In Adobe Lightroom, there are two vignetting sliders.

Sorry, but I don't know GIMP.

How do you do it in what you use? So far, I have seen that GIMP and PS, are fairly similar. GIMP is just much more archaic. Thanks!

In Lightroom, I use the vignetting sliders for midpoint and amount. In Photoshop, you can use the same controls in ACR or you can create a circular mask about 2/3 of the way from the center of the image, blur the edge a lot, then use an adjustment layer curve through that mask to brightend up the outer edges.
