Quoted images in replies?

Every time B.D. replies, he gets all the images repeated in the quoted text. I didn't used to, so I thought I'd show him how to avoid it. But now, when I reply using the quote button, suddenly all the images appear in my quoted text. Does somebody know what controls this?
If not now, when?

    I'm not sure what you mean by reply using the quote button. When I hit reply, by default the entire post is included in the message box surrounded by quote tags. I just delete images and any unwanted text from the quote before adding my own text. ne_nau.gif

    I figured out the smallest part of the mystery. The name of the button that starts a reply containing a quotation, the button on the right under the post, depends on the vbulletin skin one uses. With "Ivory Tower", that button is named "quote". With the default "Gallery Black", it is "reply".

    That still doesn't answer the bigger question of why I wasn't getting inline images in my replies. Was I just hallucinating? That is certainly within the realm of possibility, given my early onset Ahlsheimer's.

    I have seen other sites that use a newer version of vBulletin and have separate quote and reply buttons. I don't know what the behavior of inline images is, as the ones I have used are not photography related. But I don't recall the behavior changing since I have been on Dgrin. ne_nau.gif
