#1 Red Bull Helicopter hovering around, presumably monitoring the air space and recording video for the TV broadcast.



#2 Canadian Forces CF-18 jet zipping past our location. Amazing site!



#3 Canadian hopeful Pete McLeod - a Red Bull rookie, I'm told.



#4 This green machine made for nice contrast against the white pylon cones.



#5 A little juxtaposition here between church steeple and ascending plane. Wow, definitely not for the faint of heart this air racing stuff.

i would have loved to have seen them race. 3 hours would have been a reasonable drive for that too unfortunately I would have been hurting with 200mm as my longest lens.

Hey thanks. Yes, the family and I enjoyed the event. Pricey but oh well - one of those once a year deals. You could have made out ok with 200mm, but then you would have had to be right on or near the water's edge. By the time we got there, those fans were already eight rows deep!
