    Are you using a tripod, the darker parts are too dark for me...

    No, I almost never use a tripod for day shooting, they’re just more weight to drag around. If I recall correctly #s 2 & 3 are almost straight out of the camera. Expect tweaking the levels at both scanning & editing, along with cloning scraps out and cropping & resizing. But with #1 the darkness was add intentional to darken the foreground so the eyes would not be draw to front of the image.<o:p></o:p>
