Just a couple...

...of photos from Saturday. Well four actually.

Ryan and Jessica were especially fun to shoot since they allowed me to snag them away from the festivities not once... but 3 times... What a treat from the regular drudgery most folks feel about having to take photos on their wedding day. I hope Jessica and Ryan feel richly rewarded when they see these. The poor dears are in Hawaii right now, so I am really feeling for them.

2. The bride
(Well DUH- now that was a witty caption!)

4. Funny thing about this couple: before I met them he warned me that they were not as good looking as other couples I had photographed, so I should be warned. Ha Ha! That cracked me up!

Anyway, these are sneek peek photos I put up for the couple until I get the rest processed. But the real reason I am posting now is because right now I would rather chat with you all than process miles of raws. I am stalling actually. Eh, processing gets old sometimes. Lets have some conversation! I guess I need a break!

C & C always adored!

Those are beautiful! Lovely colors. I would crop that last one just a little closer--ie, remove the cars and the signs at the end--but I love the symmetry of the street lamps.

DUDE. That first one blew me away. Love the others but that one is something special.

Even with the light fixture being a bit distracting the first one is great!!! I agree with tightening the crop a bit on the last one to lose the cars. I really like that picture. Looking at it i find myself hoping that you swong around to your right a bit and caught one with their reflections in the glass, that would be an outstanding picture. Well done on all!!

    a couple of thoughts...
Nice set. good colors and composition.

#1 next time try using the railing to help align the light from above.
I'm sure it is an interesting but challenging area to shoot.

    I still like it!

#4 next time - bring in a little more DOF but keep the composition.
Love the shot with the building.

    Thanks for sharing.

Bravo Fred! I'm really loving the comps, perspectives and the colors balance (heh, what you expect me to say...Laughing.gif). They are going to be very pleased thumb.gif

They do seem young- though he has quite a bit of grey in his hair.

I sure wish I could get the hotel to remove the light. Apparently everyone is of your same opinion. I suppose it could be removed in post, but it is likely to be a pain in the mouse finger to do so....

    Thanks Nicole!

Good idea! I'll have to see if I can swing the crop and not loose the top of the closest lamp post. Otherwise it will have to be what it is. Thanks for the comment and idea!

I didn't actually see the reflection in the marble until post, so no dice there! Bummer, huh! That would have been sweet though! Next time I shoot there I will definately nail it!

    Glad you liked them...
You must mean a shallower DOF? Since it has DOF out the wazoo.... If so, you are right it would be a pretty shot with it opened up a bit. Still I wanted to make sure all the lamp posts were within the DOF.

Thanks Steve! I am pretty sure they will like them. They told me that though they have been together for seven years they have a total of five photos of the two of them... crazy! So these will be a treat!

Thanks Diva. The 2 & 3 were set at f3.5, so that would explain the crazy amount of bokeh... I am happy about it myself! :D
