I've waited all year to shoot a race in some inclement weather.....shame it only lasted 20 minutes :(

My first thought - Oh NO! The gear!!! But that is short lived - these are amazing! Most people run when it rains and miss out on shots like these! Hope you had some sort of shelter though, its really coming done!!!

Very nice shots! I was shooting the same race but chickened out soon after the storm hit.

That is funny - I was just reading a thread here where you posted an image and thought to myself, your one image looks to be shot from the spot I shot my #5 above (just a different angle). Guess I was right!

I keep rain gear in my trunk and only thought to put a jacket on so my pants were a bit wet. I also had a Think Tank Hydro in the trunk which I used toward the end of the rain.

#2 is a great shot. I assume the rider is trying to shift weight or am I assuming too much?

Over thinking it a bit, in image #2 the rider(s) actually are all yelling "Oh S#&T!, No Brakes!". This was the first corner they had to take when the rain started and most (especially those with carbon rims) had almost no brakes. This rider was putting his foot out in case he was going to slide out taking the corner....more of a panic manouver :)

Excelent! the isolation of subject to BG on #6 is excellent.
Great work all around, glad you hung in there.

    What great shots.

Best subject separation ever at a bike race.

    AF or MF?
