another mockingbird...

I seem to be finding an abundance of mockingbirds and scissor-tail flycatchers this year.
This mockingbird was at the post office a couple of days ago, trying to slip some lunch into the bushes without being seen. I think what surprised me was the eye. I don't think I had ever seen that. It is a beautiful green... amazing.

    The eye color is something else.

    Neat variations on the tail position as well.
