Droste Effect

Hi, learned about this effect from a photog buddy of mine and had to try it out. really cool stuff...

    Hi Chris,

    That's certainly an interesting effect. Judging from what I see though, the technique must not acommodate a full-subject shot. But, as you have shown, it can produce some arresting pictures. Good work.

    D700, D600
    14-24 24-70 70-200mm (vr2)
    85 and 50 1.4

    thanks. It is set up just as a normal macro shot. The distortion is via MathMap, which uses the original droste algorithm (very complex math) to give the effect. By definition a full frame image is not possible. Or at least one that looks good.
