Working on an assignment for a photography class I'm taking. This week's assignment was to experiment with light and delayed shutter speed, and I thought this would be an great chance to try out devbobo's Painting with Light technique. It only took about 100 tries...:rolleyes

Only 100 try's so far? Looks pretty good. The project is fun and definitely a learning curve not only in technique but in the tools that can make it easier. One thing that I would suggest is put the brush on a small box or something to keep in stationary. Showing part of the handle and bristles.
Find a 3 or 4 inch roll of border wallpaper. (try the dollar store). Place one end on the flashlight and squish the other end almost flat. It will be almost 3 inches wide at the bottom (same as the paint brush). It is also thick enough so that you will not get spill over light.
Other than that, you can add color to taste.

Thanks Steve - great idea to make the brush stationary, didn't even think of that, though I do sorta like the hand showing as well.

If I was more PS savvy I'd smooth out the paint line in #2.
