A few shots of Derwent Water with Bassenthwaite Lake in the back ground and wind turbines and Skiddaw on the right. Also a shot of a field of buttercups at Dungeon Ghyll Gt Langdale near Ambleside. C & C is more than welcome.
Regards
Bob

Beautiful shots of an absolutely beautiful place... sigh....I wish I was there...
Besides being much prettier than where I am, it would also be quite a bit cooler than our present run of 98 degrees and above!! (100-101 forcast for ALL of next week....)

    Thanks for sharing!

Hi Bob, #2 is my favourite - a beautiful place - great composition. I guess you know that Bassenthwaite Lake is the only 'lake' in the lake district (as opposed to Water / Mere / etc).
    Cheers, Richard.

Thanks everyone for looking and replying. I really am lucky as there are numerous locations in the Lake District of Cumbria, to enjoy. Yes Richard, I knew Bassenthwaite is the only lake as it is usually a quiz question.

Wow, beautiful shots, and a beautiful location. So nice it almost makes me want to eat Haggis! On my list of top places to visit.

All nice compositions, Bob. My only suggestion is a little more density in the sky and distant hills - for example, get the "real" sky to match the reflected sky in #4 - and these images would really pop. A split-D filter would probably do the trick shooting this type of scene. I'm about to get one (or two) myself so I'm noticing scenes where it could be used. :) Would LOVE to see the lake at sunrise/sunset too!

They're all good, but I really like #2. I would really like to visit the Lake District sometime since when I was a kid, I loved the Arthur Ransome books, "Swallows and Amazons" etc.

    Hi Dan,
Thanks ever so much for those kind remarks. I do feel I have still a long way to go but I am quite sure I wouldn't have made it this far without the kind help everyone has given me off Dgrin forums.
    Regards
    Bob

Thanks everyone for looking and commenting. I certainly take your point Benjer now you have pointed it out to me. Would this be a filter I fit onto my lens as I already have a Hoya UV filter fitted. Would you recommend using this split D filter for reflections only?
    Regards
