For the first time trying shooting stand and remote live shooting... Here is a few setup pics:

What's invloved:
  • Canon 5D2 tethered with 15ft usb cable to Dell Covet M64000 Precision laptop (running Windows 7x64 RCx7201) and powered by AC adapter; I decided not to introduce USB wireles at this point since I'm using AC cable anyway
  • Manfrotto legs
  • Tallyn's laptop bracket
  • Tallyn's Titan Sideckick shooting stand
  • Acratech V2 Ultimate ballhead
  • PocketWizard transmitter and Mini (I used both)
  • Canon EOS Utility (btw I finally figured out the settings for autoconnect if USB cable gets jerked or USB wireless gets tripped!:ivar )
  • the rest is whatever was needed
You can get an idea what I was shooting if you zoom into the laptop (warning: GF material)
