    I didn't know you had bulbuls in California. Neat. I love the Cali quail and the black phoebe and the mid-air pose of the tern is really good.

    Thanks Bud! Yes the sun finally came up! Of course then I drove up to LA to shoot and it was overcast there!

    Thanks Stephen! The Bulbuls are an exotic species here. There is a small colony of them in Arcadia, Los Angeles.

    The BCNH was waiting for people to toss bread into the water for the ducks, so he could catch a fish when it came up for food!

    Yes it is a separate speces. It is also the state bird of California!

    I love the background that makes the birds so distinctive. Was it the original shot, or did you blur it? I'm curious cause it looks amazing! clap.gif

    Thanks! No blurring in post just a wide open aperture. and a good distance between the subject and the background.
