I took a lot of shots for this theme, but so far I'm considering these:

#1 - Mountain village

#2 - Life savers

#3 - Catalonia Camping

... I also worked a little on my first shot

#4 - Warning

... and, hmm... I'm not sure about this one:

#5 Window grill

What do you think?

I have to say that, after looking at these for a while, I keep coming back to #5, the theme is strongest in it IMHO.

#1 kinda leaves me wanting to see a full-frame view of the old wheel

#2 is nice, but not as strong as #5

#3 the angle on this kinda distracts me, I end up thinking more about the funny-looking angle than the circles of the bike wheels

#4 would be my second fave', the theme is really strong

But then there is just something about #5 that appeals to me.

Just the confused ramblings of a lonely brain cell,

#4 and #5 are both quite nice. Don't think you could go wrong with either one.

I like #2 of those that you submitted. The selective coloring works well to highlight the life savers. And so does the lady standing there with her hand on one of them. This shot is nicely cropped too, which just enough in the frame to give the viewer some context.

#4 has the strongest idea, one thing to do is play around with the position in the square, I would also try backing off the contrast/processing a little.

Thank you NikonsandVstroms - how do you prononce this anyway headscratch.gif

I cannot re-shoot it because I'm not going to that place again...

Thank you guys, I see that I have to get out and find some better shots...
    - No problem, I'll do it rolleyes1.gif

It is my old name from the sister forum (ADVrider) some over there told me about this place after posting some images so I just kept the name (My last bike was a Suzuki DL650 V-Strom)

And best of luck on the future shoots! I didn't find my entry for the last challenge till Sunday morning before it ended so you have plenty of time thumb.gif

#2, #1, #4... I think these are the strongest and in this order too...

#1 is beautifully shot and the composition is very pleasing
#2 is my favorite simply because it made a "WOW" impression on me at first glance, and that still remains, so the wow factor sticks... and it is an awesome candid capture. Good call on the black and white with some color conversion..
I grew up a Coast Guard Brat so that may be why it has extra appeal for me..

#4 - I liked it from the first day you posted it over on Kerry's thread, but I don't like what you have done to the processing and color... too much contrast takes away from the shapes..

    Nice Work as Usual.thumb.gif

    Tatiana - Great shots!!

#1 - nice, not that interesting to me though. It fits the theme, but not very strongly.

#2 - Very nice. Usually I'm not a fan of selective coloring, but it works well here. The composition is really great.....couldn't have planned this shot better with the woman holding the lifesaver.

#3 - I like this shot too. I like the "manmade" vs "natural" contrast of the bike/RV vs scenery. I love the slant of the RV - gives me a sense of motion. My only one suggestion would be to bring out a little more detail and color in the sky - I think there is a lot there for you to work with. The more I look at this shot, the more I like it. Very good eye!

#4 - Fun shot, and I like the over-sharpened, over-saturated look of this image.

#5 - Beautiful shot but doesn't hold my interest.

You've got a dilemma - too many nice shots to select from mwink.gif . My overall vote though for this theme would be #2.
